Dropbox’s Python code is approximately four million lines long. It’s the most widely used language for its back-end services and desktop application. Dropbox claims that the Dropbox server, desktop client, and back-end services were created almost exclusively in Python in 2011 when van Rossum met Drew Houston, CEO of Dropbox.
